- Affirmative response: ええ / はい、そうです (Yes, that’s right).
- Negative response: いいえ、ちがいます (No, that’s incorrect/different).

- Negation: [Noun] じゃありません (Is not X).
- The Topic Marker (は): Used in "What is [Noun]?"
- Inclusion (も): "also" or "too"
- Origin (から): [Place] から きました (I have come from...).
- Location/Affiliation: だいがくは どこ / どちらですか.
- N と N: Connects two nouns (X and Y).
- S1。そして、S2: Connects two sentences (S1 and S2).
- Possession/Affiliation (の): X の Y (Y of X).
