In Lesson 4, you will learn how to point out and talk about things around you using demonstrative pronouns (
これ,
それ,
あれ, and
どれ). You will practice naming objects commonly found in classrooms and homes and learn how to ask and answer questions like “What is this?” and “How do you say X in Japanese?” This lesson also introduces adjectives, allowing you to describe objects—for example, “That’s pretty!” or “It’s not all that cool, though.”
